How does it work?
Making a payment request with Volley is easy: just enter how much you need and what it’s for. We’ll give you a link you can share with friends over social networks like Messenger, Instagram, Whatsapp or anywhere else.
When a friend taps your link they’ll be taken to their bank app to confirm payment. Volley magically inserts all your details and the payment amount, so all they need to do is approve.
We’ll send you a notification as soon as they’ve paid, so you don't have to go digging around to check. Easy right?
Is it safe?
Yes, Volley only uses official, secure, contracted "Open Banking" integrations provided to us by your bank.
We’ll never ask you for your bank password or security codes and we don't need you to send us money to "top up your wallet". Your money stays safe and secure in your bank - where it belongs.
Is this approved by my bank?
Yes if your bank is supported on Volley then they’ve approved your usage of our service. Volley is a registered member of the Payments New Zealand API Centre which leads the development of safe Open Banking in New Zealand.
Volley does not use "screen-scraping" or other unapproved techniques to access your account. Using screen-scraping services risks your account security and violates the terms and conditions of your bank account.
What banks are supported?
Volley is live with ASB, BNZ, and Westpac.

How long does a payment take?
Volley payments are the same as a bank transfer you’d make through your banking app and in most cases will arrive in your account in an hour or less, 365 days a year (9am to midnight).
If you and a friend are with the same bank, the payment will often be instant.
Are there any costs?
Volley is 100% free for personal use.
Businesses using Volley to accept payments pay a small processing fee for each transaction.

We built Volley because we saw that Kiwis are missing a fun and easy way to deal with the hassle of making payments.
