When someone wants to help – whether supporting a family with unexpected medical bills, contributing to a community project, or backing a charity – the payment experience should be seamless. Givealittle knew that easier, safer donations would encourage more generous giving.

Card payments are trusted and familiar for donors but come with a cost and cut down the amount of money that is able to go to causes. Givealittle wanted an alternative that donors would find convenient and trustworthy, but that let more of each donation get to where it matters most.

Volley's Pay by Bank solution solved Givealittle's problem. Using safe and approved open banking integrations with New Zealand's major banks (ANZ, ASB, BNZ, and Westpac), Volley enables secure account-to-account payments without percentage based fees, or requiring customers to share their bank login details.

Donors can simply select "Open Banking" as their payment method, select their bank from a list, and then be taken directly to their bank app to approve the payment. Because payment approvals happen in the bank app donors use every day, payment is secure and familiar and can be completed with just a few taps.

For Givealittle, working with a local New Zealand company meant direct access to a team that could jump on calls when needed and make the integration as smooth as possible.
